The Joy of Rolling Admissions 11/8/24

I was just texting with a parent the other day after he told me his daughter had been accepted to her second school (yay!). We were discussing how rolling admissions makes the application process so much easier and less stressful. Schools that offer it can be notable as well - like Iowa State and Arizona State. There are lists out there you can google. I would double check with the school on their website first, as things change from year to year. Sadly, both Indiana University and Purdue are sometimes listed when they abandoned the program several years ago.

Even though Early Action does get you a little bump in learning your decision, the rolling schools can take just 3-4 weeks from submission! The family I mentioned decided to make November 1st their deadline for all applications, which will take a lot of stress off of spring semester. While others are waiting by their computers in March, she’ll have all her decisions in hand.

My son is doing it the most complicated way possible, but I’ll share his results when they come along! He did get into ASU!
